| If you’ve never replaced one of these, the E-Clip is a royal pain. First thanks a ton to aliaZ & KongZTT for telling me about Z1’s metal replacement piece. That along with John’s quick shipping was a life saver. Regarding the clip, this may sound old school and I know most of you have magnetic pickup tools as do I, but there are enough places and things inside the door to catch that fallen clip that you may never see it again, at least not anytime soon. Nothing worse than losing a piece that costs less than a dollar and totally killing your planned DIY project for the morning. Long story short, after dropping mine twice, I tied a lightweight piece of thread to it. Once again, this may sound stupid, but believe me it was a huge time saver. It caught it at least a half dozen times for me (big hands are not a plus inside the door). 
Once in place, either clip the thread or pull it hard in a direction other than opposite of the way it went on and it’ll break off and you’re good to go. Just a thought that may help one of you with this PIA project.
